Stefan's M&A career began at JP Morgan in NYC where he trained as an Associate

Throughout his tenure at JP Morgan he supported the execution of M&A transactions in the financial services and telecommunication sectors in the European market

Later in his career, as Head of Central and Eastern Europe at Merrill Lynch London he had responsibility for the Firm's Investment Banking and Debt Capital Markets business in the region

His M&A deal flow was focused on Financial Institutions, Telecoms and Energy

Under his leadership, Merrill Lynch was voted "Best Debt House in Eastern Europe" (Euromoney 1996), "Best Equity House in Central Europe" (IFR 1997) and "Best Securities Firm in Central & Eastern Europe" (CEM 1998)
